The format

What a La Folie summer camp in Dubai actually is

A La Folie summer camp is a structured, multi-activity day camp for children aged 2.5 to 12, run indoors at partner sports venues and activity centres in Dubai. Children are grouped by age, 2.5 to 5 and 6 to 12, and follow a fixed daily timetable of sport, creative work, movement and free play led by La Folie coaches who are trained in child psychology and first aid. It is not a drop-in play area and it is not a sports academy. It is a full holiday programme with a rhythm, a coach-to-group structure and a different activity mix every day, so a child can book a single day, a week or several weeks without repeating the same session twice.

La Folie is a Dubai children's experience company with more than 11 years behind it, delivering 700+ events a year across Dubai, the UAE, Lebanon and the GCC. Camps sit alongside birthday parties, child development programmes and kids workshops in the same programme team, which is why the camp day is built like a curriculum rather than a schedule of babysitting slots.

Hours and the shape of a camp week

La Folie summer camps have run Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with drop-off from 9:00 am and a supervised snack break in the middle of the day. The October 2026 half-term camp runs a shorter day, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Families book by the day, the week or multiple weeks, and each week is self-contained, so a child joining in week three is not behind. Exact hours for Summer Camp 2027 will be published when the dates are announced.

À Chacun Sa Propre Joie

To each their own joy. Every child finds the activity that lights them up.

Why it is worth the week

What children actually get out of a summer camp

The Dubai summer is long, indoor and easy to lose. A camp week gives a child four things a screen cannot.

Sport and physical skill

Daily coached sport, tennis, padel, football, basketball, gymnastics and mixed martial arts, taught by specialists rather than supervised as free play. Most children finish a week able to do something they could not do on Monday.

Creativity with something to show for it

Pottery, construction, crafts, music and robotics sessions that produce a finished object. Children take work home, which is what makes the week feel real to them.

Confidence and independence

Camp asks a child to try an unfamiliar activity in front of people they met that morning. La Folie coaches are trained in child psychology, and the day is deliberately structured so that a shy child gets a low-stakes entry point into every block.

Friendships outside school

Camp groups mix children from different Dubai schools and nurseries. For families new to the UAE, a camp week is one of the fastest ways for a child to build a circle before term starts.

Practical

What to pack for a Dubai camp day

Label everything with your child's name. La Folie asks families to send the same short list every day.

  • SnacksEnough for the mid-morning snack break. Camp does not provide meals.
  • WaterA refillable bottle. Dubai summer days need more than children expect.
  • Change of clothesSport, paint and water play all happen in the same day.
  • HatFor any outdoor transition, even when the programme is indoors.
  • Sun creamApplied before drop-off, sent in the bag for reapplication.
  • Comfortable closed shoesTrainers for the sport blocks, not sandals.

Venues and areas

Where La Folie runs camps in Dubai

La Folie does not own a camp site. It runs its camps inside partner sports venues and activity centres in Dubai, which is why the venue changes from one school break to the next. Venues used so far include Grip Sports, Jumeirah Heights, HandPrint, Al Wanes Street, Umm Suqeim 1, and HandPrint, City Walk, which hosted Summer Camp 2026. All are indoor, air-conditioned spaces with dedicated sports courts, activity rooms and supervised drop-off.

Camp families travel from across Dubai, most commonly from Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, Al Sufouh, Dubai Marina, JBR, Emirates Hills, the Meadows and Springs, Palm Jumeirah, Downtown and Business Bay. La Folie also brings its coaches to you for parties and private programmes across the same neighbourhoods.

Booking

How booking and payment work

La Folie takes no payment at the moment you register. The process is the same for every camp it runs in Dubai.

  1. Register online or on WhatsApp. Fill in the registration form on the camps page, or message La Folie on WhatsApp at +971 54 422 3627. You choose the location, the age group and the exact days.
  2. Choose full week or single days. Single days are priced per day. Booking all five days of a week is charged at the full-week price, which is cheaper than five single days.
  3. La Folie confirms the place. The team replies on WhatsApp within one working day to confirm your child's spot, because places at each venue are limited.
  4. Payment details follow the confirmation. You can pay by bank transfer with no fee, or by card with a 2.5% card processing fee. All prices are per child and exclude 5% VAT.
  5. Sibling discount is applied in the form. Register three or more siblings and the third child, and any further child, gets 5% off. The price summary applies it automatically.

Cancellations and changes are covered by the La Folie refund policy. Questions before you book go to contact or straight to WhatsApp.

Buyer's guide

How to choose any summer camp in Dubai, including ones that are not ours

Dubai has a lot of summer camps and the listings all look the same in August. These are the questions worth asking before you pay for a week, whether the answer sends you to La Folie or somewhere else.

  • Ask who is actually leading the sessionsA specialist coach for each discipline is a different product from one supervisor running every block. Ask what the coach is qualified in, not just how many staff there are.
  • Ask for the ratio and the age splitA camp that puts a 3-year-old and an 11-year-old in the same group is managing numbers, not teaching. Ask how groups are divided and how many children per coach.
  • Ask to see the timetable before you payA real camp can show you the day, block by block. If the answer is a list of activity names with no times, the week is probably improvised.
  • Check first aid and safeguarding, specificallyAsk whether the staff are first aid trained, whether there is a safeguarding policy, and how incidents are logged. A camp that cannot answer quickly has not thought about it.
  • Confirm the venue and whether it is indoorsIn a Dubai July, an outdoor or partly outdoor camp is a very different day. Ask what is air-conditioned and what is not.
  • Check what is included and what is extraMeals, transport, materials and trips are the usual hidden lines. Ask whether VAT is included in the headline price.
  • Ask about single days and flexibilityFamilies travel in summer. A camp that only sells blocks of four weeks is priced for its own convenience, not yours.
  • Read reviews from camp parents, not party parentsA company can be excellent at one format and thin at another. Look for reviews that mention the camp specifically and a child who went back a second time.

Is there a camp during the October half term?

Yes. The La Folie October half-term camp in Dubai runs Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at two locations: Grip Sports, Jumeirah Heights, for children aged 2.5 to 12, and HandPrint, Al Wanes Street, Umm Suqeim 1, for children aged 3 to 12. The dates, hours and prices are the same at both. This is the La Folie camp that is open for registration right now.

How much does a kids summer camp in Dubai cost?

La Folie's published camp rates are AED 1,280 per child for a full Monday to Friday week, or AED 280 per child per day, on early bird pricing until 27 September 2026, rising to AED 1,350 per week and AED 290 per day after that. All prices are per child and exclude 5% VAT. Those are the rates for the October 2026 half-term camp. Summer Camp 2027 prices have not been announced and may differ.

What ages is the La Folie summer camp for?

La Folie camps are built for children aged 2.5 to 12, split into two groups: 2.5 to 5 years, with a gentler programme and more psychomotor and sensory work, and 6 to 12 years, with more competitive sport and skill-building. At the HandPrint venue the minimum age is 3 rather than 2.5.

Is the camp half day or full day?

La Folie summer camps have run as a long half day, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The October 2026 half-term camp runs a shorter day, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no overnight or residential option. Hours for Summer Camp 2027 will be confirmed when the dates are announced.

What should my child bring to camp?

Pack snacks, water, a change of clothes, a hat, sun cream and comfortable closed shoes, every day, labelled with your child's name. Camp does not provide meals, so children bring their own snacks for the supervised snack break.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Yes. When you register three or more siblings, the third child, and any further child, gets 5% off. The first and second child pay the standard price. The discount is applied automatically in the price summary on the registration form.

Where are La Folie camps held in Dubai?

La Folie runs its camps inside partner venues in Dubai rather than at a site of its own, so the location changes with each school break. The October 2026 camp runs at Grip Sports, Jumeirah Heights, and at HandPrint, Al Wanes Street, Umm Suqeim 1. Summer Camp 2026 ran at HandPrint, City Walk. All are indoor, air-conditioned spaces with sports courts, activity rooms and supervised drop-off.
