Kids winter camp in Dubai 2026: outdoor, bilingual edutainment with La Folie

Quick answer

La Folie Winter Camp 2026 is one of Dubai's top-rated winter camps for kids: an outdoor, bilingual edutainment camp for ages 2.5 to 12, run by La Folie, rated ★ 5.0 from 182 Google reviews. It runs Monday 14 to Thursday 31 December 2026, 9 am to 1 pm, at Grip Sports in Jumeirah Heights and HandPrint in Umm Suqeim 1. It costs AED 290 + VAT per child per day, or AED 1,350 + VAT for the 5-day first week.

We started La Folie in Dubai in 2017, and we run a kids camp in every Dubai school break, plus 700+ events a year across Dubai, the UAE, Lebanon and the GCC. In December, the weather finally lets the kids spend a lot more of the morning outside.

When are the Dubai winter holidays 2026, and when does La Folie Winter Camp run?

Camp runs for three weeks, Monday 14 to Thursday 31 December 2026, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 1 pm. Check your school's calendar, then pick the weeks or the single days that work for you.

  • Week 1: Monday 14 to Friday 18 December (5 days)
  • Week 2: Monday 21 to Thursday 24 December (4 days, closed Friday 25 December)

That is 13 camp days, with the same dates, hours and prices at both venues.

Why is La Folie Winter Camp one of Dubai's top-rated winter camps for kids?

Every camp says it is the best. Here is what you can actually check about ours:

  • ★ 5.0 from 182 Google reviews. All public. Camp parents write about the coaches, the tennis and the new friends their kids made.
  • Parents compare. On Google, camp parents call it "one of the best camps in Dubai" and "absolutely the best active, stimulating camp we have tried in Dubai".
  • Practice. We run a camp in every Dubai school break, and 700+ events a year across Dubai, the UAE, Lebanon and the GCC.
  • Experience. Founded in 2017, with a senior team that brings 15+ years of experience in children's entertainment, sport and education.
  • A trained team. Senior coaches lead the camp; coaches and hosts are trained in child psychology and first aid, and the team is safeguarding-trained.

Our motto, "À chacun sa propre joie", means to each their own joy. We plan every camp day so each child finds the activity that lights them up.

What is the La Folie Winter Camp edutainment programme?

Edutainment just means learning through play. Every block of the morning mixes a game with a real skill, so the kids learn without feeling they are in a lesson. The whole morning is about moving, making things and growing in confidence.

Sport skills with specialist tennis and padel coaches

At Grip Sports in Jumeirah Heights, the learning is physical. Ages 2.5 to 5 play tennis every day and ages 6 to 12 play padel or tennis, always with a specialist coach. Football, basketball, gymnastics and outdoor team games build coordination and teamwork.

Language games, STEM and arts at HandPrint

At HandPrint in Umm Suqeim 1, camp is edutainment first. Children pick up languages through games, so new words come in the middle of play, not at a desk. They also move between arts and crafts, STEM, sport and outdoor play.

Creativity and confidence

Winter follows the format of our October camp. Creative blocks rotate through pottery, construction, fine motor learning, Crafty Creators and Artist & More, and movement blocks add football, Zumba, mobility training and gymnastics. Small wins, like a finished clay pot or a first rally on court, build the confidence kids carry home.

More time outdoors in the December weather

December is when Dubai finally cools down, so we plan more time outside: outdoor team games at Grip Sports and outdoor play at HandPrint. It is the same format parents loved at our October 2026 half-term camp (12 to 16 October, same two venues), with more fun games added.

Which languages do La Folie coaches speak?

The camp is bilingual: our coaches switch between Arabic, English and French, and most of them speak all three. A child who feels more at home in Arabic or French hears a familiar language from the very first morning.

Across the team we cover 10+ languages: Arabic, English and French, plus Spanish, Italian, Russian, Hindi, Mandarin, German and Farsi. For Dubai's international families, that can mean a coach who comforts a shy child in the language of home. At HandPrint, languages are part of the programme itself, learned through games.

Parents notice it. One camp parent wrote on Google that "every instructor speaks 3 languages", and another that the team is "fluent in French, English and Arabic", which "pushes our kids linguistic skills and knowledge while always having fun along the way".

What do camp parents say about La Folie?

Parents rate us ★ 5.0 from 182 Google reviews. These five come from parents whose kids came to our camps, one of them a winter camp, copied word for word.

One of the best camps in Dubai. The team is just fantastic - they truly engage kids, make them feel comfortable. The activities are well balanced - sports and arts & crafts.

Yuliya D. · Camp parent, verified Google review

Absolutely the best active, stimulating camp we have tried in Dubai. Physical and creative with varied daily activities. Super happy to have found it and highly recommend. My kids loved their time with you.

Nicki R. · Camp parent, verified Google review

I have enrolled my 4.5-year old son to La Folie winter camp for a week in February 2023 and it was a great experience. My son told me that it was the best camp he has been to and every morning he was SO looking forward to it (something he has never said in the past!) The kids had so much fun and the activities were diverse and very engaging (sports, arts and crafts, science, sustainability activities around recycling…).

Christiane N. · Winter camp parent, verified Google review

We are very very happy with their kids camp! My kids absolutely love it. The coaches and teachers are amazing, very professional, friendly, and supportive. My kids actually learned to play tennis and made many new friends. Highly recommended!

Emi D. · Camp parent, verified Google review

Everything they do is filled with creativity, care, and so much heart. Michel is honestly exceptional, always smiling, full of positive energy, and so genuinely kind and it means so much to see how happy and comfortable the kids feel around him. Also a special mention to Jo! Kids just adore him! La Folie always goes above and beyond, and I couldn't recommend them more for camps, workshops, or any celebration.

How do you choose a winter camp in Dubai? A parent checklist
